Backflow Device Installation, Testing & Repair
We install, test, service, and repair all makes and sizes of residential and commercial backflow devices. We’ll even file the test results with your municipality, taking the hassle out of the testing process and paperwork.
Backflow devices keep us healthy by protecting our clean water supply from contamination. Water normally flows from a municipal water source to fixtures in your home or building. “Backflow” is a plumbing term for any unwanted reversal in the normal flow of water, caused by a sudden change in water pressure. This can happen where cross-connections exist: connections between a public water source and a contaminant. Without proper precautions, backflow can contaminate the public water supply or your drinking water.
Examples of Cross-Connections
- Hoses left submerged in swimming pools, tubs, or kitchen or laundry sinks can pull untreated water into your plumbing system.
- Chemical sprayers such as weed killer sprayers that are attached to a hose can backflow through your hose into your plumbing system.
- When a faucet is submerged in a liquid, that liquid can backflow into your plumbing system.
